What happened between March and late September?

You might have noticed that the blog went dark in late February after we returned from Ecuador.    What happened between March and late September?

Well, I landed a consulting job at a large credit union for ~ five months and since we were not doing international travel, I became lazy and stopped doing blog entries. William spent time dismantling his business and sold most of his equipment but still has the building.

William and I had some great times and rewarding travels over the months.

In April the annual Wine Juice Sale & Party was hosted in William's business building.  There was over 600 6 gallon pails of wine juice delivered to over 100 people during a Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Also in April I visited my sister Mary to go shopping for her bridal dress.  On the first night of the weekend Mary asked me to be her matron of honor alongside her maid of honor (Lynn)  one of her best friends since third grade.  Mary found a dress at the first bridal shop, but of course we had to check out the other shops to be certain.  It was really nice to walk back into the shop at 4 pm and when Mary tried the dress on again we all declared "that's the one"!  What a special time, filled with laughs and planning for the October wedding.

In May, William and I took a road trip to the east coast to visit with our sons and their girls.  The first destination was Boston and time with Paul and Kara who live on Beacon Hill. We joined the thousands of tourists in the area seeking out fine food and memorable sights and times.  We visited the Sam Adams brewery and spent a relaxing afternoon with a picnic on on the grass in Boston Gardens.  Four days flew by and we were on the road to Burlington, Vermont to visit Jim and Sally. Burlington is a true foodie town, and we took full advantage.  By the time we returned home I had gained 10 pounds.

In July William and one of his friends took a guy's trip to Las Vegas. I'd tell you more, but what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.  When he returned I went on a girls weekend with family.  We rented a 5 bedroom, 5 bath house in a resort area for 9 of us.  It was three generations, with ages ranging from 80 to 23 and we had a fantastic time.

In September we went to Chicago's Jazz Fest with Paul and Kara.  We had a pleasant afternoon and evening enjoying music in Millennium Park.
