![]() In the evening we're not up for big crowds. We haven't been to the Jazz Club on this trip, plus we are hungry for pizza, so it's a perfect answer. We make our way to La Viña restaurant and up the stairs to the Jazz Society room. Jim Gala, the lead of the Jazz Society (and piano player) comes over and comments that it's been a while, but he remembers us. We explain we're staying in Cuenca for a month, our last trip was about two years ago. The Trio plays and we enjoy their set along with our pizza. On their break the guy that's been helping to seat people and bus tables takes a set. He turns out to be a good classical guitarist and singer! His soulful songs remind me of the Fado singing in Portugal.
